Harper Center hosts "Silver Screen" shows

LCCO was excited to see the great turnouts this weekend with more than 200 in attendance for each of the "Sounds of the Silver Screen" performances. We appreciate everyone who contributed to making these concerts possible including:


Tamara Lewis for arranging the Boy Scouts from Troop 953 to conduct the flag ceremonies, Rev. Brad Simpson and First Presbyterian Church, Lee County High School, New Century Middle School, John Beverly Printers, Big Bloomers Flower Farm and videographer Greg Lewis. Thank you!

Movie: The Godfather. Released in 1972. Composer: Nino Rota.

Movie: The Magnificent Seven. Released in 1960. Composer: Elmer Bernstein.

Movie: Dr. Zhivago (Lara's Theme). Released in 1965. Composer: Maurice Jarre.

Movie: Guys and Dolls. Released in 1955. Music by Frank Loesser.

Movie: Ghost. Released in 1990. The soundtrack features a version of the song "Unchained Melody" performed by the Righteous Brothers.

Movie: Dances With Wolves (Concert Suite). Released in 1990. Composer: John Barry.

Movie: Taras Bulba. Released in 1962. Composer: Franz Waxman.

In tribute to Manly Lucas, the program also included his arrangement of "Danny Boy."


LCCO concerts are free and open to the public. As of now, COVID-19 protocols are in place and masks are required for the audience.
